Dishonesty in The Importance of Being Earnest

In the play by The Importance of Being Earnest by Oscar Wilde there are all of dishonest people and humor. There is a lot of dishonesty towards marriage and what marriage really means. In the book Lady Bracknell pretty much says that there is no such thing as true love. And that one much cheat to have a good relationship. Lady Bracknell really only care about her social standings in her community and London and she will do almost anything to get what she wants, even if that means to lie to get what she wants. The references to earnest and Ernest is basically all about dishonesty because when people say something about Ernest who is really Jack or Algernon, is all false. The people that make those statements are talking about someone that really isn't who they think they are. Most of the humor in the play is based off lies that someone told.

To me Oscar Wilde is trying to express people from the Victorian era in his play. All the people that lied and cheated to get what they wanted or thought they need. I don't think that Wilde had any one specific in mind while writing the play but knew that there were people out there like those characters. Wilde represented many different types of people in the way they live. There are country people, city people, fashionable people, smart people and not so smart people. Wilde had a wide range of characters in this play that he wrote.

10 Animal Farm evaluation

1: Angela Mack
Picture: In Angela's picture of the pig with clothes fits really well with the changed commandments. And the way all the other animals are under Napoleon in the picture. She has a really effective project.

2: Giselle
Giselle did a great job on her project. She took a different approach to show the way to the pigs started to take over. I really like the way she shows what Napoleon does to the other animals.

3: Tim
Picture: In Tim's picture that he made has a really good connection with the Russian Revolution. He also shows how the pigs start to turn human like by the pig wearing clothes. Tim made a very good project in more ways than one. I think it was very effective.

4: Daniel
Picture: Daniel's project is very creative and effective. The way he compares the leaders in the Russian Revolution to the animals. I like how he put Mr. Jones in his picture and not just the animals

5: Kelsey
Comic strip: In her project the picture are good and looked really good. I like how they focused on the windmill. But I don't think it was that effective, its was good but really didn't show anything except the windmill falling down.

6: Emma and Catherine
Movie trailer: The trailer these two  girls was great. I loved it when they burned the windmill down. They really got there point across in a great way.

7: Paden
Picture: Paden got his point across. He tied in the Russian Revolution with Napoleon which I thought was good. His project was effective.

8: Kylie
Organizer: I really like the way she had the commandments then in bold she had what they changed. her project really caught my eye. Her project was really good and effective.

9:Ragen
Picture:  Its is probably my favorite. It shows great connection with the Russian Revaluation. I love how the pig is looking in the minor and what you see is Czar Nicholas. This is a very good project.

10: Annie
Video: I think Annie did a great job on her video. I like how they used a horses being trained by person. That really fit with the starting of the rebellion.

ME:
I made an Organizer. I think my project was a little boring on the eyes but still got the point across that the pigs took over and that they aren't all equal.
